East Café Bar
East Café Bar is The King Sitric’s little sister. Located in the old wine cellar of the restaurant and spilling onto the terrace for all day casual seafood dining. The menu focuses on Irish Shellfish and wild fish, but there is always plenty to choose from for non-fish eaters!
East has a notoriety for cooking shellfish to perfection, oysters, lobsters etc are just two examples of what get’s the crowds going to this little café week after week. And why wouldn’t they? They strive to use local ingredients and produce impeccable food, which isn’t that hard when you’ve got seafood that’s been landed a short walk away from the kitchen it’s being cooked in. Come to East, take in the beautiful surroundings and eat food to match!
We do not accept bookings so just come along and we will get you the next table available!
“First time visit to Howth and the café, what a great place! The town is awash with good seafood restaurants and The East Café was busy – always a good omen. The starters were amazing and the lobster main courses were everything I was expecting. Worth the money for a special occasion or just as a casual spot for a drink. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff friendly and very helpful. I would definitely return if in the area.”
“The atmosphere is excellent, the beer cold, and the view of the pier at sunset is superb. We also enjoyed looking at the map of where all the seafood came from in Ireland. Highly recommend!”
