We are delighted to announce that headlining this year’s Traditional Music and Ballad festival in Howth is John Sheahan, the last remaining member of legendary group The Dubliners.

Howth has long been connected with The Dubliners through local legend Barney McKenna so it seems fitting that the other half of this great banjo-fiddle partnership continues to fly the flag for Traditional Irish music in Howth. Now in his 80th year John still enthrals audiences with his music, poetry and stories.
No strangers to Howth and one of Ireland’s most innovative and exciting bands Kíla are the other headline act for the festival. We are thrilled that they could fit us into their busy European Festival schedule.

Now in its third year, Howth TradFest will have 17 gigs (14 of them FREE ENTRY) and an open trad session trail where we hope trad musicians and singers from all over will join in and share their tunes.

List of Venues:
McNeill’s, The Abbey Tavern, The Summit Inn, O’Connells, The Bloody Stream, The Harbour Bar, The Waterside, Wrights Findlaters and The House restaurant.
